STORY SO FAR:
A midnight storm is raging outside. In the warmth and cosiness of Banjo’s house four friends are playing cards, unawere yet of the approaching giant digger from underneath. A short earthquake shaking announces Gruntilda’s sisters, thin Mingella and thick, FAT Blobbelda.
Grunty is free but she transformed into a walking, talking and spellspitting skeleton. Never mind, her sisters assure; they created a life-sucking machine that is gonna restore Grunty’s body. Before they are off to their castle, Banjo’s house is struck by Grunty’s spell and poor Bottles was still inside! Banjo, Kazooie and Mumbo Jumbo are sure: "those witches are gonna pay"The mole restoring-adventure is to be started.
OVERALL GAMEPLAY:
With a great storyline in hand, Rare takes everything they know about games and runs with it. They incorporate everything a good game needs- huge levels, eye-catching graphics, fun characters- and more to create what may be the best platform game ever. Banjo and Kazooie are easy to control, with Bottles to help you learn all of their moves. Stomp, fly, and swim through the beautifully made levels, all with their own unique theme. By the end of the game you'll be begging to get the sequel.
GRAPHICS:
They are unbelieveble for an Nintendo 64 game, the worlds are so big, characters are
so detailed, the enviroments are so beautiful, the bosses are so beatiful and BIG
only very easy. The waterworlds look like your really swimming underwater and when you
come in to the level you think, "Wow, this is a small level" and when you are underwater it’s so big that you get simply lost. Also the moves are very realistic it look like real when your climbing up a wall, it’s very funny. Also the the levels are just like mazes, you simply forget something around the corner if you don’t look well. The movies are also very great but the framerate is very annoying sometimes. There are some good special effects in the game, that’s what we expect from Rare.
SOUND:
This is the best music ever, the music really fits in the level and it isn’t very
different from the music from Banjo-Kazooie (I don’t mean the same but the sort of
melodies) and what is still very great is that when you walk too some part of a level
the music will change without a hitch. The music is also so fantastic you should
not go without hearing it. If you want to listen this music you can hear it on Nintendo
Intense Radio.
REPLAY VALUE:
You keep playing it because the worlds are so big and you still think you are missing
something after you finished the whole game. It’s also very fun too play the
minigames with your friends. Stop ’n Swop also still has too be discovered so
maybe if you play a lot you will find it.
COMMENTS:
The best game there is, because of what I said before is true, also this is the game
where I spent the most time to have found everything out the game, so you be warned.
