XG3 Extreme G Racing
INTRODUCTION:
It is the 23rd century and racing is the same old thing as it always has been or is it? In this new racing title you are in
a very intense race at near the speed of sound to top it off your
oppenents all have their weapons aimed at you! No this is not a nuclear arms race but a top of the line racing experience
made by Acclaim!
FEATURES:
10 differant mind boggling circuits each like you are in the front seat of a huge expanding roller coaster.
A total of 12 differant players to chose from.
Differant modes of play: Championship, Cooperative, Arcade and more
Over 60 fps making an even more realistic experience
OVERALL GAMEPLAY: When I first sat down to play this game I was skeptable. After driving to my local Blockbuster on the lookout for a great
multiplayer game to settle my mind on while I was at my grandma's I did something I almost rarely do. I randomly chose a game,
well almost randomly. . . One of my friends just mentioned this game saying he heard it was good. Something I rarely go by
especially when faced with a great selection of 1 player games to chose. In anycase me and my friend headed over to my
grandma's house and loaded up the game. The second I saw the intro I was pulled in with its great music and graphics, but
more on that in the next sections. Now here is the real fun part, the actual playing of the game. This game I have to say
took me longer than some games to get used to. It always seemed like I had to bounce from one hand to another during the game.
Which isn't a real problem with the gamecube controller since everything is so mindless to control. Steering can be a little
difficult but that usually is expected on a first try of any game. Championship and
cooperative are real fun and challenging. I didn't understand the extent of how much work you can save yourself until the
last day by doing time trials (they give you money so you don't have to rank as high). And once you combine proximity mines
with more than 600 miles per hour you got a deadly combination. After 5 days of playing I still didn't come close to unlocking
all of the secrets and i have to admit it did become rather frustrating at times but it was worth it the rent and it is on my
mind a possible buy.
GRAPHICS: After looking at some of these levels the TV screen will take your breath away. You see many differant terrain's while
playing this game and as you progress through the game the levels tend to get better and better. The bikers are well
done as well the total of all of these is a great visual experience.
SOUND: The music in this game fits it perfectly. Most of the music is techno making an even more fufilling futuristic view.
One of the coolest feelings in the game is when you break the sound barrier and all of the sound disappears except for a
faint whispy sound. It is an incredible feeling as you play.
REPLAY VALUE: Being a 4 player racer how can replay value be low? You have multiple weapons to choose from 10 tracks and a ton of
differant racers. If single player or cooperative isn't fufilling enough for you just plug in some more controllers and
let the races begin.

SCORE |
| OVERALL GAMEPLAY: Great, rumble intigrated into game perfectly. Control takes some time
to get used to but once you get into the game it comes like nothing. Higher classes can get very frustrating though. | 8.7/10.0 |
| GRAPHICS: It is like looking into a whole new realistic world. If this is the beginning of
GameCube I can't wait until what is coming up this year! | 9.5/10.0 |
| SOUND: Great music, fits game perfectly. | 9.0/10.0 |
| REPLAY VALUE: Great multi or solo. Watch the time fly by. | 8.5/10.0 |
