Resident Evil

INTRODUCTION:
If anything proves that Nintendo GameCube is not a kiddy system it is the fact that the Resident Evil series is now exclusive. With all of the previous games remade into GameCube graphical glory supposed to come out within the span of a year and then the release of two new titles to the series Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4 this is sure to be a treat to any fan of the series!

FEATURES:

  • 1 player.
  • Play as either Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine
  • Battle the undead through out an expansive and amazing looking mansion.
  • Hugely enhanced graphics over it's Playstation original.
  • Solve puzzles and reserve your items or you may become not very alive.
  • Tons of clips to watch!
  • First GameCube game to be on two disks!

    STORY SO FAR:
A secluded mansion in Raccoon City has been the center of secret biological experiments for sometime. All that is known about the comporation behind it all is that it is known as Umbrella. One day contact is broken with the scienists working on the experiments and reports come from neighboring areas about gory assults. Two Special Tactics and Rescue Squads (S.T.A.R.S) are sent in to investigate what is going on. The first team to enter, Bravo, vanishes almost immediately. When Alpha enters the mansion this is when the real fun begins.

    GRAPHICS AND SOUND:
Though the backgrounds are all prerendered I don't think I have seen anything better looking on the GameCube yet. The people and monsters are all amazingly done. The lighting looks perfect from a glare here to reflection there. Whatever I can say about the pictures does not do them justice at all! You need to check out the pictures below. The sound on the other hand is amazing as well. You can hear bones crushing, stabs, groans and moans all done on the GameCube's amazing sound system. The revival of this game is enourmous boost over the Playstation version and sure to send chills down the spine again.

    OUTLOOK:
Resident Evil is the beginnings of the survival horror genre on console systems. This game is set to be revolutionary not only in the fact that it can show the power of what GameCube can do graphically but also how it appeals to people of ages not typically thought of as "GameCubers". With the release of the movie in a few months this is set to be a major hit!
