Super Smash Bros. Melee
INTRODUCTION:
After Super Smash Bros. unexpected success on the N64 it was no suprise to anyone just
before E3 when information leaked out that it was going to be seen at the show. Along
with other titles at the show it took peoples breaths away showing sides of Nintendo
mascots that no one has ever seen before.
FEATURES:
1-4 multi-player
A new one player mode
Brand new ways to play
More than 14 characters to choose from!
CHARACTERS:
Mario
Bowser
Peach
Ice Climbers
Link
Zelda
Kirby
Pikachu
Yoshi
Fox
Shiek
Ness
Captain Falcon
Samus
and more. . .
GRAPHICS AND SOUND:
It is great to see the classic Nintendo characters rendered in full 3-D with such
fantasic quality. When compared to the N64 there is a huge difference. Characters like
Yoshi and Fox no longer look blocky but are smoothed and have great textures.
OUTLOOK:
This game looks like it is going to be a fantasic addition to any collection. Though
it has been critized for being the same as the original I would have to disagree.
The addition of the new single player mode is a major step over the original as well as
the new characters and modes of play. From what I have seen so far they have made it
appealing to not only single players but like the original multiplayers as well. With
the controls almost exactly as the original and the addition of more moves this will
re-enforce the already great game.
